The 3 star Hotel Timor is situated around 150 metres from the beach in the Ses Cadenes district of the
lively resort of Playa de Palma on the central southern coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 8km east
of the capital Palma, 3km south east of the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the
commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Built in 1973 and fully renovated during the winter of 1999, the Hotel Timor has a total of 241 guest rooms, including 11 single rooms and a further 230 doubles, which are built over 10 floors and set amidst 1,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens that are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated pool with gymnasium, Jacuzzi and sauna, along with a hard surface tennis court and both pool and table tennis tables. Of special interest to cyclists, the Hotel Timor also has a specially adapted area for storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with individual security fittings, as well as a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools. The Hotel Timor also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
