Built in 1965 and fully refurbished during the winter of 1996/97, the Hotel Playa has a total of 94 guest rooms including 92 twin rooms and a further 2 singles, which are built over 5 floors. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the magnificent Bay of Palma. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, snack bar, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with WiFi access and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel Playa also offers the use of an air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes an outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a well equipped gymnasium and both pool and table tennis tables.
