Built in 1974 and fully refurbished during the winter of 1996, the modern Hotel Valparaiso Palace has a total of 174 guest rooms including 146 double rooms, 5 single rooms, 17 junior suites, 3 suites, 2 suites bahía and 1 royal suite that are built over 7 floors and set amidst 22,800m2 of landscaped Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror and bathrobes, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephones in both the lounge and bathroom, satellite television, mini bar, lounge area with work desk, electronic door locks and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have panoramic views over the city and the bay of Palma. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with a luggage room, games room, and choice of three air conditioned restaurants including the Restaurant Paraíso which offers an excellent international cuisine with impressive views over towards the city of Palma, the Bistro and Bar Mar Blau which specialises in a Mediterranean Cuisine in a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere and finally the garden restaurant the Gamba Palace which is open during the summer months.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a choice of two large outdoor freshwater swimming pools with sun terraces furnished with loungers and parasols as well as an artificial grass tennis court and three paddle courts. For business guests, the Hotel Valparaiso Palace also offers a choice of nine different conference and meeting rooms with the capacity to seat from 10 to 450 people.

In 2006, the Hotel Valparaiso Palace was awarded the internationally renowned certification ISO 14001:2004. This awarded was granted for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures in addition to which the hotel has also been awarded with the TUI Environment Champions prize 2006.
