The 4 star Hotel Can Simoneta has an enviable cliff top location overlooking a small isolated cove,
approximately 8km to the south of the lively resort of Cala Ratjada on the north east coast of Majorca.
The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International
airport, and around 2.5km from the popular Canyamel Golf course. The Hotel Can Simoneta was opened in March 2005 following the careful restoration by the architect Pere Nicolau and the designer Toni Esteva of two 140 year imposing stone houses. The hotel has a total of 18 guest rooms, including 11 standard twin rooms and a further 7 Suites, which are distributed between the two Can Nofre and Can Simoneta buildings, and set amidst almost 50,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens that have been landscaped in a traditional Mallorquin style around a large freshwater swimming pool overlooking the sea. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, cosmetic mirror, hairdryer and bathrobes, along with a direct dial telephone with high speed ADSL internet connection, satellite television with music channels, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, one room at the Hotel Can Simoneta has also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are also provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week. Guest facilities on offer includes a reception area with currency exchange desk and luggage rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned a la carte restaurant with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes an outdoor Jacuzzi, offering guests panoramic views across the sea, as well as direct access to a small rocky cove which is reached via a curved staircase that is carved into the face of the cliff.
