Built in 2000, the modern low rise Aparthotel Playa Mar has a total of 160 guest rooms, including 157 one bedroom self catering apartments and a further 3 studio flats, which are built over 3 floors and set amidst almost 4,500m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the Aparthotel Playa Mar are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with two electric cooking rings, refrigerator, toaster and kettle, as well as a combined lounge/dining room with safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, the one bedroom apartments also have a twin bedroom with one sofa bed and an additional pull-out bed in the lounge area, and the studios flats have two beds with one sofa bed, plus an additional pull-out bed, and both apartments and studio flats are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception desk with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, along with a hard surface tennis court and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel Playa Mar also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Heath and Beauty Centre, which features an additional indoor heated swimming pool with cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna, Turkish Bath and Jacuzzi, as well as offering a selection of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.

The Aparthotel Playa Mar also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring water polo, games and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
