The 4 star rated Hotel Som Far is situated around 50 metres from a small sandy
beach, in the quiet residential Alcanada district of the popular resort of
Puerto de Alcudia on the north coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 65km
north of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and
around 2km from the harbour and commercial centre of the resort, where you will
find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.
Extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern low rise Hotel Som Far has a total of 45 guest rooms, offering a choice of both twin rooms are Suites, which are built over 4 floors overlooking a central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, flat screen satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a terrace or balcony, many of which have exterior sea views over the magnificent Bay of Alcudia. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned restaurant serving a varied buffet of warm and cold dishes, selected desserts and homemade sweets, and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a freshwater swimming pool for adults, along with a further separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols.
