Built in 1988 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2006-7, the modern low rise Viva Alcudia Sun Village has a total of 203 guest rooms, including 159 one bedroom self catering apartments, 2 two bedroom apartments and a further 42 studio flats, all of which are distributed between 6 two storey buildings, and set amidst almost 8,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, and a combined lounge/dining room with sofa beds, a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above, 5 apartments have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen every 3 days.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange service, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bars, public internet terminals, a supermarket, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club as well as mini golf and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Viva Alcudia Sun Village also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
