Built in 2001, the modern low rise Aparthotel Vell Mari has a total of 251 guest rooms, including 211 one bedroomed self catering apartments and a further 40 studio flats, which are distributed between a 3 storey main building and a smaller 2 storey annexe block, all of which are then set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator and a combined lounge/dining room with sofa beds, satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a number of apartments have also been specially adapted for the needs of disabled guests, and all guest rooms at the hotel are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, snack bar, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with WiFi Access and both pool and lounge bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium, as well as a children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables. For sports enthusiasts, the Aparthotel Vell Mari also offers the use of a hard surface tennis court, as well as a multi-purpose sports activity area for five a side football and volleyball etc.

The Aparthotel Vell Mari also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, air rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
