Built in 1971 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2001, the modern Hotel Sol Mirlos - Tordos has a total of 668 guest rooms, including 638 double rooms and a further 30 singles, which are distributed between 2 nine storey buildings and set amidst 600m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, ceiling fan and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals, a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a choice of two large outdoor freshwater swimming pools with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces furnished with loungers and parasols along with both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Mirlos - Tordos also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, archery and aerobics as well as evening entertainment with live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.

From May to the end of October each year, the Hotel Mirlos - Tordos is a Flintstones themed hotel and during this time is especially popular with families travelling with young children. During the summer months, alongside the numerous adult activities, the resident Sol Animation team also provide themed children's clubs with the Baby Rock Club suitable for 0 to 4 years, the Bam Bam Club for 5 to 10 year olds, the Cool Club 10 to 14 years and the Teen Club from 14 to 17 years. Guests are advised that some activities will carry a supplementary charge payable locally.
