Built in 1968 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2002, the modern Hotel Sol Jamaica has a total of 308 guest rooms, including 286 twin rooms and a further 22 single rooms, which are built over 9 floors and set amidst 400m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel have a ceiling fan, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals, a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking, offering traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's section, and spacious gardens and sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini-club along with both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Sol Jamaica also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, archery and aerobics as well as evening entertainment with live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
