Part of the Marina Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Rey Don Jaime is situated around 100 metres from the beach, in the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 30km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 150 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.

Built in 1971 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2002, the modern low rise Hotel Rey Don Jaime has a total of 417 guest rooms, including 371 standard twin rooms, 41 singles and a further 5 Suites, which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst almost 1,000m2 of sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all guest rooms at the hotel are also provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with public internet terminals, a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Rey Don Jaime also offers the use of the air conditioned La Pérgola and El Pendolón conference and meeting rooms, both of which are equipped with a selection of the latest audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with a separate children’s section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated pool, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Rey Don Jaime also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Marina Group commitment towards caring for the environment, the Hotel Rey Don Jaime has been awarded the internationally renowned EMAS certificate, awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures, along with the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute ´Q´ quality mark, which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.
