Built in 1988 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2004, the modern Hotel Punta del Mar has a total of 186 guest rooms, including 127 double rooms, 26 singles and a further 33 apartments, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking the Santa Ponsa bay.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace with sea views. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, laundry and medical services, a games room, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel Punta del Mar also offers a conference and meeting room equipped with a selection of audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large split level freshwater swimming pool with a waterfall, as well as a separate children’s pool and spacious sun terraces and gardens furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated indoor swimming pool with sauna along with a children's mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Punta del Mar also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities featuring petanque, archery and aerobics as well as evening entertainment with live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
