Built in 1965 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2006, the modern Hotel Punta Amer has a total of 98 guest rooms, including 74 standard double rooms and a further 24 superior doubles with lounge and sofa, all of which are built over 4 floors and set amidst almost 500mē of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the sea. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi and gymnasium as well as both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Punta Amer also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
