Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2002, the modern low rise Hotel Playas del Rey has a total of 64 guest rooms, including 54 standard twin rooms and a further 10 singles, which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst spacious sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens overlooking a central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, refrigerator and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the magnificent Bay of Santa Ponsa or a lush pine forest. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, a games room and comfortable lounge bar with satellite television.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include an ornamental garden and rooftop terrace with stunning sea views.

The Hotel Playas del Rey also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
