Built in 1971 and fully refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern Hotel Playa Marina has a total of 159 guest rooms, including 148 twin rooms and a further 11 Junior Suites, all of which are built over 6 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the Bay of Palma.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bars, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Playa Marina also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, seating a maximum of 100 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with spacious sun terraces overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Playa Marina also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment in the "La Taberna" show bar, featuring a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
