Built in 1986 and fully refurbished during the winter of 2002, the modern Aparthotel Palmeras Playa has a total of 236 one bedroom self catering apartments, which are built over 7 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the Aparthotel Palmeras Playa are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings, refrigerator, toaster and microwave oven, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, a number of apartments have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals, a games room and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel Palmeras Playa also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Health and Beauty Centre, which features a further indoor heated swimming pool with cardiovascular gymnasium and sauna.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel Palmeras Playa are also welcome to use the sporting and leisure facilities at the nearby "Sa Coma Sports Club" complex, which includes 18 clay surface tennis courts, available both for the beginner and the more experienced player, along with the 54 hole "Golf Paradis" mini golf course, two squash courts and a 25,000m2 golf driving range with bunkers and putting green.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel Palmeras Playa also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the nearby 3,500m2 Biomar Thalassa and Wellness Centre, which features a hydrothermal circuit, sauna, Turkish bath and ice cave, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments including, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy and various massage treatments.

The Aparthotel Palmeras Playa also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
