Built in 1980, the modern Hotel Palma Bay total of 540 guest rooms that are distributed between 4 seven storey buildings, and set amidst almost 23,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel have a ceiling fan, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a choice of two large air conditioned buffet style restaurants and snack bars, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes three large outdoor freshwater swimming pools, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a mini golf course, a hard surface tennis court, gymnasium, Jacuzzi and sauna, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Palma Bay also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
