Hotel Lagotel - Playa de Muro

Part of the Eix Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Lagotel has an enviable lakeside location, in the quiet Las Gaviotas district of the popular resort of Playa de Muro on the north coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 60km north of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, 3km from the centre of the resort of Alcudia with its wide selection of bars, shops and restaurants and around 800m from the wide sandy Playa de Muro beach.

Built in 1989 asnd extensively refurbished during the winter of 2014, the modern Hotel Lagotel has a total of 340 guest rooms, including 89 self catering apartments, 12 single rooms, 194 doubles and a further 45 family rooms, which are built over 8 floors and set amidst almost 15,000m2 of landscaped Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, complimentary high speed WiFi internet access, a safety deposit box available for hire and either a terrace or balcony, most of which have either lake or mountain views.

Apartments at the Hotel Lagotel also feature an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings, microwave oven and a fridge, as well as a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds.

In addition to the above features, 6 guest rooms at the Hotel Lagotel have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with a separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, a mini golf course, as well as both pool and table tennis tables.

Of special interest to sports enthusiasts, the Hotel Lagotel also offers the use of multi sports activities area, for volleyball and football etc, a hard surface tennis court, along with two further paddleball courts, a squash court, and both rowing boats and pedalos for hire.

Guests staying at the Hotel Lagotel also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Health and Beauty Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna and Jacuzzi, along with a unisex hairdresser.

The Hotel Lagotel also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
