The 5 star Hotel La Residencia offers guests an ideal place to relax and unwind in a tranquil, rural setting in the picturesque village of Deia, deep in the heart of the rugged Tramuntana mountains on the west coast of Mallorca. The hotel is approximately 35km north west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the centre of the village, where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

The hotel consists of two former 15th and 17th Century manor houses, which have been carefully restored to maintain many of their original features, and then furnished with a selection of traditional Spanish antiques, local fabrics and local art. The hotel now offers a variety of individually furnished guest rooms, including a selection of both single and double rooms, as well as a number of both Junior and Superior Suites.

Single rooms at the hotel are superbly decorated, with antique and traditional Mallorquin furniture and white linen, and come equipped with a television, dvd player, complementary high speed WiFi internet access and an mp3 player. Bathrooms are also fully equipped and with a bath tub.

Both the Double and Superior Rooms at the Hotel La Residencia also offer every comfort with elegant antique Mallorquin furniture and a Queen sized bed. In keeping with the architecture of an old Manor house, each room is different and some feature high ceilings. In addition to the above features, the Superior Double Rooms are larger double rooms with a seating area within the room. Superior Rooms are furnished with antique Mallorquin furniture and Queen sized beds (most of which are four posted beds). Some of these rooms have little romantic corners.

Junior Suites are furnished with antique Mallorquin furniture, and each has its individual characteristics. Some have a private balcony, small private garden and terraces, and all have a four poster bed and a living room equipped with television, dvd player, free WiFi internet access and mp3 player. The comfortable bedroom has an adjoining fully equipped bathroom with luxurious bath tub.

Superior Suites are truly individual and offer a unique experience of La Residencia. Superior Suites 64 is situated in the Son Fony building above the main swimming pool. It has a spacious bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a separate lounge area with luxurious fittings including plasma screen TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access, mp3 player and a terrace leading off it with views towards the Tramuntana mountains. This is a beautiful and light room offering nice views towards the village from the bedroom and views towards the village and the mountains from the lounge.

The Tower Suite is situated in the ancient tower, the oldest part of the hotel building and thought to have been first built by the Templar Knights. Built as a watchtower it has magnificent views in all directions providing a superb panorama of the mountains, village and sea. This luxury Suite is on two levels and access is by a stone spiral staircase. On the first floor is a bedroom and luxury bathroom, both with admirable views, and the staircase continues upwards to the top floor where there is a spacious lounge area with luxurious fittings including TV, DVD, video, free Wi-Fi access, mp3 player and an outdoor private sun terrace. This Suite is very popular with honeymoon couples as it is a truly romantic hideaway.

The eight Tramuntana Suites offers panoramic vistas over the valley and towards the Mediterranean. All suites have a traditional tiled garden area where guests may relax while soaking up the sun and the breathtaking views with four of them boasting a private plunge pool. These Suites also offer a large bathroom with separate shower and toilet areas and the spacious bedroom and lounge area has luxurious furniture and fittings in the unique La Residencia style. Moreover, in the Tramuntana Suites, guests are offered the exceptional high quality 450 thread Egyptian Cotton sheets with satin embroidered logo. Manufactured using an exceptionally fine quality thread, these sheets are the best luxury quality available today.

The gardens in these Suites have been planted with flora endemic to the Tramuntana area. Plants have been carefully selected by staff of the Botanical Gardens in Sóller who will coordinate with the hotels own gardeners to ensure that the plants grow successfully. Inside each Suite guests will find a book with information on local flora which will hopefully be of interest.

Access to the Tramuntana Suites is made easy thanks to two new lifts which have been cleverly integrated into the stone terraces with elegant tunnelled passageways linking each one. As the Tramuntana name implies, the Suites are individually named after the different peaks in the mountain range.
