Built in 1973 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2002, the modern Hotel Helios has a total of 305 guest rooms, including 275 twin rooms and 30 singles, along with a further 36 one bedroomed self catering apartments which are situated in a separate annexe just in front of the main hotel building. The Hotel Helios complex is built over 5 floors, and is set amidst 3,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, apartments at the Hotel Helios also have an open plan kitchenette and a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, snack bar, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel Helios also offers the use of an air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool, as well as a children's playground, a hard surface tennis court and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Helios also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
