Part of the Swiss owned Levante Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Gran Sol is situated along the east coast of Majorca in the popular resort of Cala Bona, approximately 70km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport. With grounds that face the Cala Bona beach, the hotel is only a short walk from the picturesque fishing harbour and around 1.2km from the centre of Cala Millor with its selection of shops, bars, restaurants and lively nightlife.

Built in 1962 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern Hotel Gran Sol has a total of 58 guests rooms, including 51 twin rooms and 7 singles, that are built over 4 floors and set amidst 1,200m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces.

All guest rooms at the hotel are centrally heated at the manager's discretion, and most are also air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, pay per view satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have either sea or garden views. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, games room and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include an outdoor saltwater swimming pool with spacious sun terraces and gardens that are furnished with loungers and parasols, along with a smaller indoor heated pool with Jacuzzi and sauna.

The Hotel Gran Sol also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
