Built in 1963 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the Hotel El Cid has a total of 216 guest rooms, including 186 twin rooms, 24 singles and a further 6 Suites, which are built over 6 floors and set amidst 2,000m2 of sun terraces overlooking the beach.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the magnificent Bay of Palma. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, snack bar, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel El Cid also offers the use of an air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool with gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and hairdressing salon, as well as a hard surface tennis court, bicycle workshop and both pool and table tennis tables.
