Hotel El Cid - C'an Pastilla

Part of the T H B Group of hotels the 4 star Hotel El Cid has an enviable front line location overlooking the beach and pedestrianised sea front promenade, in the popular resort of C'an Pastilla on the central southern coast of Majorca.

The hotel is approximately 12km east of the capital Palma, 5km south east of the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 300 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1963 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2014, the modern Hotel El Cid has a total of 220 guest rooms, offering a choice of both twin and single rooms, and a further selection of suites, all of which are built over 6 floors and set amidst 2,000m2 of sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the beach.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the magnificent Bay of Palma. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with complimentary WiFi access available in selected areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel El Cid also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, seating a maximum of 70 people, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces overlooking the sea which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a hard surface tennis court, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Of special interest to cyclists, the Hotel El Cid also has a specialist "Cyclist Corner", where guests will find all types of information relevant to cycling around the island, including maps, cartographic details of routes, routes of interest, weather forecasts, books and magazines specialising in environmental issues and other related themes, along with a specially adapted area for storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools.

Guests staying at the Hotel El Cid also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre which features, a further indoor heated swimming pool with cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.

The Hotel El Cid also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
