Built in 1968 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2003/4, the modern Hotel Coral Playa has a total of 184 guest rooms, including 178 twin rooms and a further 6 singles, which are built over 12 floors and set amidst spacious sun terraces overlooking the magnificent Bay of Magaluf.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the sea. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception desk with currency exchange services along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, public internet terminals, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, laundry and medical services, a games room and both lounge and pool bars. For business guests, the Hotel Coral Playa offer a conference and meeting room, seating a maximum of 80 people, which is equipped with a selection of audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with separate children's section and spacious sun terraces and gardens furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Coral Playa also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Hotel Coral Playa's high standards of customer care and management systems, the hotel has recently been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 9001: 2000 Certificate for Quality.
