Hotel Catalonia del Mar - Cala Bona

Part of the Catalonia Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Catalonia del Mar has an enviable position overlooking the small fishing harbour in the popular resort of Cala Bona on the east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1996 and fully refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern Hotel Catalonia del Mar has a total of 189 guest rooms, offering a choice of both single, twin rooms and Junior Suites, that are built over 6 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated at the manager's discretion according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television with international channels, a safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access available in all common areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Catalonia del Mar also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, with the capacity to seat a maximum 200 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes an outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, featuring a split-level terrace-solarium that is furnished with both sun loungers and parasols.

Guests staying at the Hotel Catalonia del Mar also have the opportunity to relax an unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a further indoor pool with Turkish bath, fitness corner and Jacuzzi, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and massage treatments.

The Hotel Catalonia del Mar also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring pistol shooting, archery, pool games and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
