Built in 1996, the modern Hotel Catalonia Consul has a total of 189 guest rooms that are built over 6 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated at the manager's discretion according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access available in all common areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Catalonia Consul also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, with the capacity to seat a maximum 200 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include an outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's section, and a split-level terrace-solarium that is furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated pool, as well as two outdoor Jacuzzis, a children's playground and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Catalonia Consul also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring pistol shooting, archery, pool games and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children’s disco followed by either live music, cabaret and other professional shows several times each week.
