Extensively refurbished during the winter of 2003, the Hotel Carabela was originally built in 1942, and has been family owned and run since 1946. The hotel has a total of 42 guest rooms, including 31 standard twin rooms and a further 11 singles, which are built over 4 floors overlooking the magnificent Bay of Paguera.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and a comfortable lounge bar.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large rooftop freshwater swimming pool for adults, with sun terraces overlooking the bay towards Malgrats island which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a large indoor Jacuzzi and hydro massage area, which is built in the former barrel vault, offering guests a unique opportunity to unwind and enjoy a few moments of relaxation.
