Built in 1947 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2005, the low rise Hotel Cala Fornells has a total of 94 guest rooms, including 75 twin rooms and a further 19 singles, which are distributed between a 4 storey main building and a smaller 3 storey annexe, and then set amidst 1,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Paguera.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, mini bar, parquet floors, built-in wardrobes, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bar, public internet terminals with WiFi access in selected areas, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Cala Fornells also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, with the capacity to seat up to 46 guests, which is fully equipped with a selection of the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment including WiFi and ADSL internet access, projectors, microphones and loudspeakers.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the bay which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi, gymnasium and massage room, as well as a hard surface tennis court and both pool and table tennis tables.

Of special interest to cyclists, the Hotel Cala Fornells also has a specially adapted area for storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with individual security fittings, as well as a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools.
