Built in 1973 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern Hotel Riu Bonanza Playa has a total of 291 guest rooms, including 268 standard twin rooms, 8 singles and a further 15 Junior Suites, all of which are built over 9 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Palma.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Junior Suites at the hotel also have a lounge area and bathroom with bathrobes, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned à la carte restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access available in selected areas, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Riu Bonanza Playa also offers the use of 6 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, all of which are fully equipped with the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large 294m2 outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Riu Bonanza Playa are also welcome to use the sporting and leisure facilities of the nearby Hotel Riu Bonanza Park, which includes two additional outdoor swimming pools for adults, along with a mini-golf course and two floodlit hard surface tennis courts.

Guests staying at the Hotel Riu Bonanza Playa also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a 48m2 indoor heated swimming pool with hydromassage, along with a sauna, cardiovascular gymnasium, Turkish bath, bio-sauna and bithermic showers, as well as offering guests a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.

The Hotel Riu Bonanza Playa also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring pistol shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
