Hotel Biomar Gran - Sa Coma

Part of the Protur Group of hotels, the 5 star Hotel Biomar Gran is situated around 400 metres from the beach in the quiet "El Dorado" district of the popular resort of Sa Coma on the central east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 300 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and cafes.

Open to the public in May 2008, the modern low rise Hotel Biomar Gran has a total of 216 guest rooms, including 2 duplex Suites, 174 Junior Suites, 38 twin rooms with king size beds and a further 2 single rooms, all of which are distributed between 2 five storey buildings and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes and slippers, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a plasma screen satellite television with music channels, iron and ironing board, a mini bar, writing desk, coffee and tea maker, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a choice of 4 à la carte thematic restaurants with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals with WiFi access available in selected areas, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Biomar Gran also offers the use of 9 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, all of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including, flip charts, WiFi Internet access, adjustable lights, microphones, screens, overhead and computer video projectors, CD and DVD players, scanners, printers, photocopiers, couriers, security and simultaneous translations.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Guests staying at the Hotel Biomar Gran also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own 3,500m2 Biomar Thalassa and Wellness Centre, which features a hydrothermal circuit, sauna, Turkish bath and ice cave, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments including, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy and various massage treatments.

From March to October each year, guests staying at the Hotel Biomar Gran are also welcome to use the sporting and leisure facilities at the nearby Club Protur Sa Coma Resort, which includes 18 hard surface tennis courts, 2 paddleball courts, 2 squash courts, a 54 hole mini golf course and 25,000 m2 golf driving range, volleyball, skating, a climbing wall and bicycle hire.

The Club Protur Sa Coma Resort also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
