Built in 1988 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 1999/2000, the modern Aparthotel Bahia Grande has a total of 159 guest rooms, including 146 one bedroom self catering apartments and a further 13 studio flats, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst almost 2,900m2 of sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette and a combined lounge/dining room with satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, double-glazed windows and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with a separate smaller children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated pool, with cardiovascular gymnasium, sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as a children's playground, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Aparthotel Bahia Grande also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
