Part of the Hoteles Globales Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel America has an enviable position, situated on a small headland overlooking Cala Domingos Beach in the popular resort of Calas de Majorca on the picturesque east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 60km east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 200 metres from the Calas de Majorca resort centre where you will find a selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2005, the modern Hotel America has a total of 366 guest rooms, including 326 double rooms and a further 40 singles, which are built over 8 floors, and set amidst almost 800m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, 7 guest rooms at the Hotel America have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms at the hotel are provided with a maid service undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with public internet terminals, a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel America also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring aerobics, archery and various water sports, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Hoteles Globales Group high standards of customer care and management systems, the Hotel America has been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 9001:2000 Certificate for Quality, as well as ISO 14001:2004 certification awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures.
