Built in 1963 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 1999/2000, the modern low rise Grupotel Aguait has a total of 189 guest rooms, including 160 twin rooms and a further 29 singles, which are built over 3 floors and set amidst 2,300m2 of well kept Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television with music channels, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, snack bar, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor swimming pool with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor heated swimming pool, with Jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium, along with 11 clay surface tennis courts at the Club de Tenis Aguait, a children's playground and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Aguait also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Grupotel commitment towards caring for the environment, the Hotel Aguait has been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 14001:2004 certification awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures.
