Built 1989 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the modern low rise Cala d'or Playa complex has a total of 116 one bedroom self catering apartments, which are distributed between 2 four storey buildings and set amidst almost 20,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with 2 electric cooking rings, microwave oven and refrigerator, a combined lounge/dining area with additional sofa beds, satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, a snack bar and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's pool and aquatic park, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Cala d'or Playa Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
