Built in 1988 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2008, the modern low rise Bouganvilla complex has a total of 614 guest rooms, including 361 one and two bedroom self catering apartments and a further 253 studio flats, which are built over 3 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around one of the largest swimming pools on the island.

All guest rooms on the complex come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette, a combined lounge/dining room with satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, a supermarket, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate smaller children's splash pools, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's mini club, along with a multi sports activity area for football, tennis and volleyball etc, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Bouganvilla Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment at the "Big Top" with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
